edit: Ok, no one wanted to listen to my request of "please don't defend your use of these things to me, I don't care" and would leave comments only with that, so I'm locking it. Back when I started Photoshop I did some of these, we all probably did.
This is no bible or anything; this is a bunch of tips for beginners to Photoshop on some things you might want to avoid to make your art look too processed or clichéd. This isn't just tips from me but from all other sorts of digital artists I polled, then compiled here. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
