Welcome to August's edition of Azarath's AR Newsletter Subsection. Sorry it's a wee late, I had a busy weekend and then a sick day on Monday. D:

Almost DDs
I've been getting a lot more suggestions for DDs! Thank you! Keep them coming in! However, I can't DD everything sent to me. Here are some pieces that were suggested by community members that I'd like to feature here.

Sadly this month I don't have B&W features, as time flew by WAY fast and I didn't have time to collect any links. I still welcome suggestions for those too, so that next month we can have lots to show off.

Pressing Issues?
Ok guys, I pride my self in my honesty. So I will try not to dance around subjects and get right to the point.

One thing on the minds of many anime artists and fanartists around here is DA's policy on showing underage characters in sexual situations. FAQ #249 explains it pretty plainly. I'd like to direct your attention to point #12, as this is a popular issue. Trying to get away with it by saying your NarutoxSasuke porn (as an example) is OK b/c you made them "older" doesn't fly either. They're both underage characters, and it doesn't matter if they're fictional or not. I know it, you know it, dogs know it! So don't post it here. Y!G is a place for that, for example.

There's a lot of folks crying out right now that DA is against their freedom of speech, and their rights to post whatever they want. Well guess what? DA isn't a county. It's not a democracy. It's a company, a website. As such they're entitled to remove it. IT. IS. ILLEGAL. Posting stuff like that is illegal, and not just in drawings either, but live models as well. And it's not just because it's just plain wrong; DA needs to watch out for itself. If DA let it go, and people kept posting stuff like that, being as popular as this site is, it could get shut down rather fast. Fox News would be roasting us over a spit!

The one thing I hear the most has become my biggest pet peeve: "DA took down MY smut/wallpapers but not anyone else's! They're against me/the anime community/wallpaper makers!"

AHAHAHAH no. DA is not "picking" on anyone. EVERYONE is subject to it. Porn is not allowed. Taking copyrighted material without the original author's permisson IS NOT ALLOWED. And so you see someone else posting the same sort of thing? The please, report it! There's a little button on the bottom of every picture to report policy violations. Your report will not be brought to the attention of the deviant. DA doesn't have eyes everywhere. An unbelievable amount of stuff is uploaded here every day; just head out to the main page and watch the Deviations upload counter climb and climb, and you'll see how much. Since we can't be everywhere at once, we need helpful folks in the community to report these things. The CEA team will take care of it; we GDs are not involved in removing them. Improper submissions will either be marked as "mature" if needed, or removed entirely if underage, however the CEA team sees fit. We GDs handle miscatagorizations, so just report those as well, and we'll take care of it. (It would be even better if you would just think before you submitted, and save us all the aggravation. )

If you don't like our rules? Then take the stuff elsewhere. There's plenty of other websites out there.

And to those who follow the rules: I love youuuu. (It's not so hard, is it? It's not like these rules are tough or unfair.)
