I want to start a comic soon, I just don’t know where to start. D:

I find writing comedy very hard, b/c how the hell is something that’s funny to me going to be funny to anyone else? I have a weird sense of humor. A friend once assured me that if you find something funny, there’s a good chance someone else will though…

Ideas I'm thinking of working on:
The Fourth Wall (comedy/cracky/silly/audience participation!)
Doctor Gravity (mostly drama, some comedy)
The Man from Mars (over-the-top comedy)
Broken Wings (SUPER ANGSTFEST)
Victim: Nash (lighter comedy)

Mostly comedy with drama in between is the best in my opinion (something like One Piece).

Your friend is right, if you find something something funny, you can't be the only one. Someone's bound to laugh

I like stories that don't have a set mix, but can switch from melodrama angsty-angst to slapstick comedy at the drop of a hat, and anywhere in between.

See, I'm weird though. I LOVE overdrasmatic stuff/supreme mellodrama b/c I think it's funny. Stuff like that positively SLAYS me. Like soap operatic-style things. I eat it up.

I prefer dramas with a touch of comedy added. That way, when the jokes do happen, they're that much more poingant and funny. Plus, that way you aren't hard pressed to be constantly funny.

Firefly does this well.
