In short, vector graphics are artwork, done in a program like Adobe Illustrator or Inkscape, that uses mathematical ratios to make art instead of pixels. Therefore the artwork can be resized infinitely without losing any quality, making it the #1 choice in the graphic arts world for making images. And then there's people like me who like using it for the style of art you can get from it. It's not an easy thing to learn, but the results are totally worth it!

Of course I know what vector art is I've done some long ago, and I use a vector based program (Flash) now and again.

sort of. I know you use vector programs, like illustrator, & it gets a bad rep because so many people use it for tracing. other than that I don't know of any other differences between that & plain old digital art.
